Planted is a US-based food delivery marketplace designed exclusively for vegan cuisine. It connects customers with local restaurants that offer curated, fully plant-based menus — all available for pickup or delivery. By partnering with top vegan-friendly kitchens, Planted provides a seamless way to explore exciting meals while supporting a more sustainable food ecosystem.

Planted needed a reliable backend to support their marketplace, mobile app, and admin panel. The challenge was to create a unified API infrastructure that could handle complex user flows, third-party integrations, and real-time delivery services — all while staying scalable and secure.
Develop a unified monolithic API to power the web, mobile, and admin interfaces.
Design a PostgreSQL database architecture optimized for marketplace logic and restaurant data.
Integrate third-party delivery services like Doordash and Relay for automated dispatching.
Implement Google Maps and Auth0 for location and authentication features.
