SPARKBASE PARTNERED WITH MAYBEWORKS TO BUILD A FLEXIBLE, COMMUNITY-DRIVEN APP THAT HELPS CHURCHES CONNECT, COLLABORATE, AND THRIVE IN THE DIGITAL AGE.
Sparkbase is a mobile app built to help European churches connect with their communities in a more modern, meaningful way. It streamlines communication, simplifies event planning, and fosters collaboration between church staff and members — all within a user-friendly platform. Designed for a new era of digital community building, Sparkbase is redefining how churches stay organized and engaged.
Location: Germany

In response to an unmet need in the European market, our client envisioned a distinctive app tailored for Christian organizations. Armed with an existing MVP for Sparkbase, the goal was clear — to enhance and refine the platform for sharing information about upcoming events.
Design and implement a custom MongoDB database architecture.
Drastically expand functionality.
Address performance and usability issues of the initial MVP.
Ensure long-term maintainability and flexibility of the system’s data model.
How MaybeWorks organised the work:
After receiving the client's request, we scheduled a call to discuss the project's goals, and specific requirements. This allowed us to clarify key details, understand challenges, and align on expectations for the collaboration.
Using the collected information, we selected the best fit from our in-house team and managed the onboarding process ourselves.
The developer joined the project a week after the client contacted us, which allowed us to start work quickly and maintain the momentum of incremental growth.
Our outstaff manager monitored the developer's performance to ensure consistent results.
If necessary, and with the client's approval, our technical leaders were involved to solve complex problems.
We provided direct communication with the developer via Slack, while task tracking and scheduling were carried out in Jira.
